Rallye du Maroc 2024 kicks off tomorrow for the Monster Energy Honda Team with the prologue first up on the agenda for a total of 1,512 gruelling kilometres against the clock.

Ricky Brabec, Adrien Van Beveren, Tosha Schareina and Pablo Quintanilla have been acclimatising in Morocco for the past week preparing themselves for this final World Rally-Raid Championship round of 2024. This has not only included getting their bikes dialled in across the tracks and dunes but also they’ve been acclimatising themselves to the new digital roadbooks that will be used by all riders in the World Championship herein.

Having completed the shakedown on Thursday over a 11.5km loop on the outskirts of Marrakesh, they and their Honda CRF450 RALLY bikes were passed through the mandatory scrutineering and administrative checks yesterday at the Hotel Barcelo Palmeraie.

Following all the checks and verifications, the entire Monster Energy Honda Team are now ready for this pivotal rally that will decide the 2024 title with both Ricky Brabec and Adrien Van Beveren in with a chance to take the illustrious Championship.

To set the running order for stage one, the riders will tackle a short 25km prologue on a loop around Marrakesh before the rally proper starts on Monday where they will be faced with a total 2,468km of riding over the course of the six days.  With 70% of the rally’s terrain consisting of gravel, the riders will also encounter expansive sand dunes throughout this ‘warm up’ to the Dakar.

However, following recent rainfall in Morocco, many areas have suffered immense flooding with some of the main roads and tracks being completely washed away, something that will make navigation all the more challenging.

The 2024 Honda CRF450 RALLY has a 100% win record so far this year in the hands of the Monster Energy Honda Team riders with Ricky Brabec taking the Dakar Rally victory and Desafío Ruta 40 honours while Tosha Schareina added Rally-Raid Portugal to the winner’s list for Honda.

With all eyes on Brabec and Van Beveren as they vie for the riders’ title, the team will also look to maintain that stunning winning record for the Honda CRF450 RALLY.
